Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual this position, you will provide technical support for IAPI Service in Process Automation Process Industries in San Jose, California. delivering superior, professional service, remotely or on-site.Reporting to the Director, Service Operations, you will be responsible for planning and executing, with minimal professional guidance, complex semi-technical assignments involving the installation, modification, test, inspection or repair of Company products and equipment. Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments typically on remotely operated maintenance and testing equipment. Recommend measures to improve operations and customer service.Your responsibilitiesPerform complex service operations that typically present unusual problems requiring strong technical skills. Must have advanced understanding of the paper making process and be able to apply that knowledge to the control applications in the Quality Control System"‹ (QCS) and Distributed control system"‹ (DCS) systems. Process control expertise and MD/CD tuning proficiency required. Provide leadership in the assembly and operation of laboratory and service equipment. Conduct tests or experiments requiring selection and adaptation or modification of equipment and procedures. Record, compile and reduce data for analysis and assist in related assessment and preparation of reports.Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction. Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance, repairs, and assist in determining resource requirements.Lead the performance of assigned services projects such as non-destructive examinations and analysis. May be responsible for direction, analysis and reports involving complex test projects.Assist in planning and coordinating team efforts. Guide less experienced technicians and instruct them in proper and safe operation of equipment. Often work non-standard schedules with exposure to varying environmental conditions. Travel up to 40% may be required.
