Under general supervision, performs diagnostic testing and related responsibilities including appropriate collection andpreparation of specimens, working with infant/toddler, child/adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients, performance oflaboratory test procedures according to protocols using appropriate instrumentation, and evaluation of informationtaking appropriate action as needed without supervision. Demonstrates understanding of scientific theories andtechniques of procedures performedPerforms simple, moderately and/or highly complex analyses with accuracy and precision, understanding basic and complex principles of methodology.Correlates various clinical laboratory test results, applies these results to clinical conditions and recognizes accepted normal rangesApplies the necessary principles to deliver quality outcomes which include Quality Control and Continuous Quality Improvement methods
