Ongoing training - learn and work on gas, diesel, & alternative fuel vehiclesDIESEL TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computerPerform repairs and preventative maintenance to light to medium duty vehiclesPerform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation requiredComply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/proceduresInspect and perform work on the under parts of vehiclesMove parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehiclesPerform other duties as requiredDIESEL TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:At least 5+ years of experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical schoolASE Certifications: Will be required to obtain no less than four school bus (S1-S7) ASE certs within the first year of employment. Master certified by the end of the second mercial Driver''s License class "B " required within first year of employment.Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.Knowledge of handheld scan tools and the process of diagnosing vehicles.
