Bridge Maintenance Technician

Overview Louis Berger Services is currently looking for Bridge Maintenance Technicians to fill full-time roles in the Miami, FL area. Learn more about the COVID-19 vaccination here - Responsibilities Cleans and grades ditches, drainage structures, highway road shoulders, slopesDrive standard shift vehicles, pickup trucks and crash trucksEmergency response and cleanupCompletes bridge maintenance duties, such a drainage inlet cleaning, joint cleaning, trash and debris removalUse all equipment safelyOperates a variety of mechanical equipment and hand toolsCare for equipment and notifies management of needed repairs.Be available to respond to emergency situations involving repair or emergency work on evenings or weekends. Qualifications Active Class-A CDL strongly preferred (FL)Must be local and available for on-call duties as neededMust be able to read, write, and speak English fluentlyMust have valid driver''s licenseBe able to lift fifty to sixty pounds (50 - 60lbs.)Be able to comply with Company Drug and Alcohol PolicyBe able to work overtime, nights and weekendsAt least one year of highway maintenance or construction skills are strongly preferredMOT certificate must be obtainedAll candidates must pass a pre-employment background screen and drug test.
