Job Description:Job Description SummaryThe Credit Senior Officer requires a comprehensive skill set to effectively execute broad risk management responsibilities within Corporate & Financial Institutions Credit Risk. Primary responsibilities include: Formal or informal management responsibility for Analysts and Associates on the team. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Global Banking & Markets product spectrum; Responsible for driving asset quality and speed to market. Manage (primary account responsibility) a complex portfolio of Large Corporate / Financial Institutions clients within the bank''s risk appetite and risk strategies; Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the portfolio at the client and industry level to assess risk solutions that balance risk and return; Manage a complex portfolio of clients via actively monitoring the portfolio including changes in credit profile and compliance with credit agreements; Independently assess the credit worthiness, including due diligence of borrowers and/or trading counterparties; Establish appropriate internal risk ratings for clients and implement accurate adjustments throughout the clients í’ credit life cycle; Structure complex transactions and negotiate complex credit documentation to mitigate risk appropriately; Provide high quality and efficient credit approval to Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Treasury while observing compliance of established credit policies and guidelines; Participate in strategic projects to support business goals Credit Senior Officers are expected to build extensive industry and subsector knowledge, strong communication and presentation skills and be able to appropriately assess credit risk of each client. 8-10 years banking/credit analysis experience with ability to manage complex portfolio of accounts in all respects. Must have ability to manage the most complex transactions, to manage a team and/or drive the team''s success, possess strong credit skills and transaction experience, and demonstrate the ability to work with senior officers, business partners, and clients. Experience to exercise Credit Authority within delegated authority.
