General ledger preparations, including journal entries, Great Plains financial statement reporting. Maintenance of general ledger entry files. Asset Reconciliation and liability account balances. Assist in collection of past dues over 60 days. Bank reconciliation of all accounts and documentation maintenance. Maintain fixed asset records and subsidiary ledger. Calculate and allocate depreciation expense monthly. Review and Reconcile monthly billing for multiple internal departments. Prepare Sales & Use tax returns, personal property tax returns, and others as needed. Maintain W-9 records. Maintain all information for preparation, printing, and distribution of annual vendor and miscellaneous 1099''s forms for all companies. Assist in the development and implementation of written policies and procedures for the accounting department. Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting Must have experience using Great Plains 3+ years of experience as staff accountant Preferred Skills: knowledge of non-profit and for-profit accounting, budgeting, and internal controls.
