Join our client as a Project Engineer, you''ll be responsible for all engineering deliverables within their Fulfillment Center.This position will oversee detailed designs and procurement specifications by managing the selection of reliable suppliers, development of detailed project schedules operating standards, and staffing/equipment requirements for expense budgets.This is a direct placement opportunity.What you''ll do:Manage the search and evaluations of technologies, testing and justifications of technologies, and planning related to budgeting and implementation of engineering projects.Manage the execution of projects to ensure that the projects meet the defined scope, finish on schedule, stay within budget, and deliver the expected benefits. Lead project reviews and communications across the stakeholders. Ensure thorough SOP''s are developed and published prior to the completion of each project. Work closely with the Industrial Engineering team on any changes to processes or labor standards. Perform Time Studies and use that data to create labor standards and/or determine ROI.Assist in preparations of departmental budget, including material, manpower, equipment, and outside procurement costs, and operate within approved parameters.Analyze and evaluate distribution methods and standards. Recommend improvements (technology, process, material handling, etc.) to maximize workflow and spatial utilization.Process design and implementation plans that result in improved service, cost savings, or improved quality of services.Concept design, approval, justification, project management, and implementation of capital and facility expansion projects.Develop and design, complex and effective material handling systems/processes from a green field.Ensure team alignment with the strategic Corporate Business Services roadmap and with site operational goals.Ensure close alignment with the industrial engineering team to document and implement standard operating plans (SOPs) associated with any engineering projects.Full capital project accountability to include analysis of material flow, safety enhancements, capacity expansion, process improvement and optimization, cost reduction, assurance of quality and enhancement of accurate and timely merchandise shipment.Ensure that the network can meet the needs of the business through design expansions, innovations, modernization, and/or process changes.Basic Qualifications:Minimum 3-5 years of experience developing and leading complex automation projects for a large-scale Distribution network and successful demonstration of the responsibilities and skill sets such as lean six sigma, process improvement, ability to build engineer standards.Degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.MBA or MS degree preferred or optional.AutoCAD Experience is required; must be able to draft, concept, and interpret technical drawings and blueprints of complex material handling systems and fulfillment centers.Strong understanding of Fulfillment operations industry standards and best practicesStrong understanding of building-wide flow, throughput, and capacityAbility to travel 20-40%A transformative thinker who challenges the status quo; innovatorExperience with capital budgetingProven leadership skills with team members both onsite and at remote locationsDemonstrated ability to collaborate and influence at all levels across an organizationLean Six Sigma certification is preferredOPENAFIntegrity CB1
