Overview AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., a fast-growing commercial insurance company, has an immediate need for an in-house workers'' compensation legal assistant to work in our Boca Raton or Maitland FL Counsel offices. Responsibilities Answer inbound main line phone calls and route inquiries to correct team memberGreet and manage guests and vendorsRetrieve, scan, and route all incoming mail to proper team and ClaimsMonitor and process office electronic mailbox correspondenceAbility to flag critical documents requiring timely responses and appearancesProcess outbound USPS/FedEx mailCoordinate/schedule meetings, hearings, appointments, and depositionsGenerate draft templates (pleadings, motions, objections, correspondence) for attorney review and approvalAssemble medical packets to experts along with itemized schedule of recordsProvide Legal Assistant support to 1 or more AttorneysDocument processing (assemble, copy, scan, serve, E-file accordingly)Manage and prioritize competing deadlinesCommunicate with claim partners, clients, witnesses, Court, opposing counsel, vendors, and team membersMaintain data integrity in our document management platform supporting our paperless environment (documents, parties, roles/relations, naming conventions)Timely transmit and request payments to vendors, experts, etc.Provide office support as needed (place tickets for failing equipment, order office supplies, assist peers as needed and during PTO) Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED)1+ years'' workers compensation experience preferredAbility to type a min. of 70 wpm and must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Organized, self- motivated, ability to prioritize and work independentlyExceptional attention to details and the production of professional work productMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsWork in a team environment with a positive respectful attitudeExperience with a document management platform (TeamConnect a plus)This job description is designed to provide a general overview of the job and does not entail a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities that will be required in this position.
