Are you interested in a career exploring solutions to a rapidly expanding power grid? LCRA is seeking an engineer with experience in performing transmission system planning assessments in accordance with NERC reliability standards. System modeling experience and python coding is a plus. LCRA''s Transmission Planning is seeking an Electrical Engineer with power systems knowledge to join our collaborative team! You will be trusted to: Performing transmission system planning assessments including load interconnection studies.Performing assessments to meet NERC TPL reliability standards.Performing tasks associated with transmission system modeling.Representing LCRA TSC at ERCOT working groups.The ideal candidate will be familiar with the following:• Power flow analysis• Contingency analysis• Siemens PSSE• PowerWorld• Optimal power flow• UPlan economic analysis• Power system modeling• Power system protection• NERC Reliability Standards• Python You qualify with: - Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science plus one or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job. - Driver''s license You are a great fit with: Prior transmission system planning experience is preferred. Experience with PSSE or PowerWorld is preferred.
