Responsibilities The Bed Control Specialist handles the coordination, prioritization and efficient use of all beds within the hospital for surgical cases, cardiac cath lab cases, vascular institute cases, special procedures, direct admissions from MD office or home, ER admissions, unit to unit transfers and transfers in from other facilities. The applicant must have excellent computer, telephone and customer services skills. The applicant must be able to keep accurate data to reflect patient location, bed usage, bed availability and pt. flow timing.
