NOC Technician

Link Technologies is currently seeking a NOC Technician II for a client in Las Vegas. This will be a contract to hire position working onsite in Las Vegas. As a NOC Technician II, you will be responsible for monitoring network and systems performance and troubleshooting network-related issues. QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience administrating Windows or Linux servers to include configuration, monitoring, and maintenance Experience with systems monitoring and utilizing monitoring software such as SolarWinds, OpenView, Microsoft Operations Manager, etc. Experience with security monitoring and incident response, with systems experience to include SIEM, firewalls, DLP, and IPS Must have experience with scripting with batch, PowerShell, VB, or PERL Solid understanding of Active Directory user administration, Microsoft operating systems, DNS, DHCP, networking principles such as TCP/IP, routing, VLANS, subnets, etc. Experience with configuring, building, and supporting servers and applications Ability to read and understand complex system diagrams, and create basic flow diagrams when needed using MS Visio or similar tool Must have experience with responding to system and/or network alerts and events Formal technical training to include an associate''s degree, relevant IT certification, or equivalent experience CISSP, Cisco, and/or Microsoft certifications highly preferred Experience with .Net applications, web servers, and/or backup and recovery strategies a plus
