Responsibilities Under general supervision of the Histology/Cytology Manager, Wellstar Health System Laboratory and directsupervision of the Coor Cytology, responsibilities include but not limited to data entry of patient information, preparation and processing of cytology specimens (GYN and NON)GYN) and/or pathology specimens, clerical duties, send out processes, etc Confirm and distribute completed surgical and cytology cases that have been accessioned, filing (slides/blocks/reports), retrieiving tumor and consult requests, and have full knowledge of regulartory policies. Maintain department inventory with adequate supplies, cytology and surgical specimens are stored properly and discarded withinregulartory safety guidelines.
