Customer Service Representative

Job Title: CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE Job Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to provide excellent customer service with the goal of increasing customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention, and meeting customer expectations. Essential Functions: Enter orders, coordinate customer shipments with appropriate carriers, and track shipments Communicate with customer regarding order details and status; keep customers happy and well informed Internally communicate customer and order information with appropriate department(s) Develop relationships with customers to understand their needs and benchmarks of success Field phone calls from customers and prospects; provide general product information Promote company products Prepare quotes and price letters Handle customer complaints, providing appropriate solutions Participate in various trade shows Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Skills / Requirements: Read, write, comprehend, communicate, and perform basic math Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and ability to perform a high level of multi-tasking Professional, courteous and patient attitude Problem solving abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Education / Experience: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Minimum five (5) years'' experience in a Customer Service role Physical Demands: Stand, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, hear and walk Occasional travel as needed Work Environment: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee spends the majority of time working in an office setting.
