To achieve this mission, HPARD is seeking a Groundskeeper to join its Recreation and Wellness - Golf Operations team. The potential candidate will play a key role in the following duties:Perform a variety of manual tasks like; planting/pruning/trimming trees and shrubs, trash pick up/debris removal, changing cups, re-locating tee markers, maintaining flags, and putting out ice water for customers. Operate small equipment including hand mowers, shovels, rakes, line and hedge trimmers, blowers, edger''s, and chains on all areas of the golf course. Operate utility vehicles on the course and train in the operation of riding reel mowers and sand trap machines. Perform turf maintenance tasks including aerification top dressing, fertilizing, vertical cutting and hand-watering. Must be able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.WORKING CONDITIONSThis position involves considerable physical exertion, such as regular climbing of ladders, lifting of heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) on a highly frequent basis and/or assuming awkward positions for long period of time. There are routine exposures to significant levels of heat, cold and moisture and air pollution. This position may involve periodic exposure to chemical substances and physical trauma of a minor nature such as cuts, bruises and minor burns.
