For our radiation services community of practice, that means using new technologies or innovative approaches to provide economical client solutions for radiation safety, making our communities safer. We''re seeking a Radiation Health Physicist to support projects for government and commercial clients while assisting with the implementation of the Jacobs Radiation Safety Program and USNRC Radioactive Material License. Preferably based near our Denver or St. Louis offices, projects will involve a variety of field implementations for radiological assessments and remediation, plan development, data evaluation, desktop research and document reviews. Office tasks include performing radiological calculations, performing radiological dose assessments, procedure or report writing, preparing plans for radiological sampling and laboratory analysis, and interpreting radiological data. They will also include providing key research support to historical radiological assessments for Department of Defense sites by reviewing files for radiological information (radionuclides, processes that could contribute to potential releases, concentrations, deliveries, waste or refurbished, reused parts, etc.) and understanding/identifying important information for the specific radiological sites/processes under review. Field tasks include performing and or leading teams during surveys and assessments, characterizing radiological materials in various matrices, implementing radiation safety practices, and maintaining radiation program and regulatory compliance during project activities. LI-remote B.S. degree in Radiation Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Environmental or Science related degree Coursework related to radiological health physics Ideally, You''ll Also Have: MS in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering or related field Professional Health Physics Experience Experience with application of MARSSIM, MARLAP, MARSAME Exceptional computing, writing, verbal, and presenting skills Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
