Accounting Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Grand Rapids, MI that is looking for an Accounting Manager to add to their team. In this role, the Accounting Manager would support the Controller and supervise a small staff.Responsibilities include: The Accounting Manager will oversee general accounting function of the locations Train and mentor the accounting department Maintain fixed assets Assist external auditors with yearly audit Lead month end closing functions for the business units Review adjusting journal entries Accounting Manager will evaluate internal controls to ensure continuous improvement in all business areas Review aging reports and work with Accounts Receivable team to reach out to customers on updating billing information and collect payments Assist in monthly billing process and follow up with customers on open balances/payments outstanding As an Accounting Manager, you will assist in processing receipts of goods and AP invoices as necessary
