Spanning air, land, sea, and space, we are developing the technology of tomorrow, delivered today.Job DetailsResponsibilities will include: Leading and managing a team of approximately 20 FPGA design engineers Hiring and staffing hardware engineers in support of program needs Advancing the state of FPGA design by assessing and evaluating modern tools, design techniques, and hardware resources Personnel performance and development Hardware engineering product development, program execution, and scope management Communication of information to engineering team, up through leadership, and across the organization for best practice and lessons learned sharing Proposal support, review, approval, and scope negotiating with program Application of hardware, firmware, and engineering processes on programs Support to key initiatives to improve the business execution or disciplinePrimary tasks will include: Collaborate with engineering talent leads to develop staffing strategies to meet the business needs Grow capabilities in critical skill areas identified for the business Work closely with project engineering managers and hardware managers to ensure successful execution on programs Monitor hardware execution health of programs through performance metrics Oversee and ensure adherence to hardware process through lifecycle phases including: design development, verification, integration, and production support Drive scope management through understanding of technical baselines, proposal positions, and execution plans Develop strategies for efficient reuse and leverage of firmware code blocks Serve as design review chair or assessor for development programs to ensure reviews meet hardware guidelines, and to ensure appropriate subject matter experts are engaged Support proposal efforts for hardware engineering to capture new business Review and approve hardware bids and proposals, ensuring 80/20 hardware estimates are developed Provide employees with performance assessments for mid-year and end-of-year reviews Develop employees on team Support key initiatives in business area or in discipline to meet yearly objectives and continuous improvement goals Provide communication of hardware engineering performance to business and discipline senior leadershipInterested in hearing more?
