Electrical Controls Engineer

Overview As a member of an engineering team, this resource will function as a hands-on engineer providing functional controls expertise for project design, construction, commissioning, and start-up as related to industrial controls for clients in building materials products, chemical, pulp & paper industries for our Marietta office. Front-end work will be executed from our Marietta office but travel to remote project locations to support the project life cycle will be required. Overall travel is estimated to be 25%. Will safely follow client-defined control standards and scope, and maintain communication and interface with appropriate client contacts. Will support all aspects of electrical controls project execution including control system design, PLC and HMI programming, project documentation, and site start-up support of integrated systems. Will be responsible for re-writing, upgrading and standardizing client controls systems. Responsible for putting together bid packages and designing and writing the scope of work for contractors to follow. Will create final documentation packages of as-built drawings.
