Internal IT Risk Assessor

Internal IT Risk Assessor iSphere is searching for three (3) Risk Assessors for a 6+ month contracts that understa nd and have experience in the risk space . This is a remote opportunity but all who apply must live in the Houston area. The successful candidate needs to have intuitive and be able to thin beyond checklists. Our client is looking for someone that can see the big p icture and who can evaluate risk . The following are the requirements needed for a successful candidate: 5+ years cybersecurity / IT experience. Know and understand cyber security & information technology best practices P erform risk assessments based on a risk standard and internal controls, but without any tools, checklists, or questionnaires. Determine the likelihood a risk will occur based on the security and controls a system or application has in place. R ead infrastructure or technical diagrams and ask questions to determine if appropriate security is in place, or if a gap exists. Must know how to review compliance documentation (SOC 1 & 2 , Certification documentation) Identify remediation options and offer recommendations Great communicator, can discuss risk with non-technical resources to help them understand the impact D evelop good/clear documentation that state the level of risk for a system or application, and provide actionable remediation recommendations to reduce the risk to an acceptable level iSphere provides our potential consultants with direct access to top area clients and decision makers frequently resulting in a quicker interview and hiring process.
