Field Technician III

The Field Technician III will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic and microwave telecommunications equipment and systems. As a Field Technician, support will be provided in the maintenance and operation of generators, HVAC, and telecommunication site infrastructures. (Safety Manual).Understands and implements Industry standards (OSHA, TIA10-48, NATE CTS and ANSI)Able to read and understand a customer detail planProvide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.Adhere to all company and industry standards/regulations Prepare drawings of field sketches using AutoCADRead and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to telecommunication, commercial, residential, and light industrial applicationConduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field workReview peer work productOther duties as assigned.Education and TrainingHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED), technical degree preferredSkills and Experience5+ years of general construction experience preferred; some cell industry experience highly preferred.NWSA certification a plusMust be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver''s license, and clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.Basic computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft office suite.Update equipment office records and installation specificationsCommissioning and integration experience requiredMobile access certification is a plusAbility to lead crews when Foreman is away. DC/AC electrical skillsMust be able to pick up to 50 lbs. and be capable of working up to 12 hoursExperience on AT&T or Verizon Wireless NetworksWorking Conditions Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary Must have the ability and be willing to travel extensively, as required for job related functions. Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands
