Director of Critical Care

A 130 bed regional medical center near Austin, TX is seeking a Director of Critical Care to join their nurse leadership team. This medical center is a Joint Commission accredited facility that is a Primary Stroke Center and also includes a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Director of Critical Care will be responsible for a 21 bed unit that is a combined Intensive Care and Progressive Care unit. The Director will manage and provide direct and individualized care to treat critically ill patients with a variety of life-threatening medical, cardiovascular, neurological, and surgical needs. The Director of Critical Care is accountable and responsible for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care in the Critical Care Unit. This includes responsibility for the overall direction of clinical, human resources and financial management.The qualified Director of Critical Care will have a minimum of ten (10) years of recent ICU/Critical Care experience in an acute care hospital setting with at least three (3) years in a management or Director level role required. In addition, the Director of Critical Care will have a Bachelor''s Degree in Nursing (BSN) and a Master''s Degree preferred.
