An award-winning hospital in Southern Texas is actively seeking a NICU Nurse Director RN to join their amazing team! This facility is a part of a larger well-known healthcare organization in the State of Texas, which will offer further career opportunities to the experienced neonatal intensive care unit nurse leader.This beloved 125+ bed short term acute care hospital offers a variety of medical services to patients in the surrounding communities and beyond, including: a 24/7 emergency room, inpatient and outpatient surgery, inpatient medical surgical care, specialized women''s services, and a Level II / Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This hospital system has won awards for its excellence in stroke care, and is also a designated Trauma Center.The NICU Nurse Director RN will have the wonderful opportunity to apply their strong hands-on leadership capabilities to manage and lead a great group of NICU staff in this 18+ bed specialty care unit. The Nurse Director of NICU will be responsible for oversight of all staff, ordering supplies and equipment, managing unit budget, oversight of all quality improvement activities, as well as training and education of current staff and new hires. The NICU Director will serve as a confident and educated liaison between RN staff, hospital leadership, and patient family members, working to provide high quality patient care and improved patient care outcomes. The NICU Nurse Director RN will report directly to and work closely with the Administrative Director of Women''s Services and Chief Nursing Officer.The ideal candidate for this role will be a BSN-prepared RN with at least 2+ years of Level II-III NICU leadership experience, and 3-5 years of hands-on clinical experience. MSN is preferred, in addition to NICU specialty certification.This area of South Texas is an outstanding place to live and work!
