Click here to navigate Radius Health''s Pay Transparency Policy.Senior Analyst, Commercial Forecasting & ReportingUS-PA-PhiladelphiaJob ID: 2021-2266Type: Regular Full-Time of Openings: 1Category: Business AnalysisOverviewThe Senior Analyst, Commercial Forecasting & Reporting will be responsible for supporting critical business analytics needs, including but not limited to building and maintaining the short-term commercial forecast model as well as commercial performance reporting. Develop the commercial forecasting strategy and approach for the abaloparatide franchise and will assist in creating a dynamic and comprehensive model that allows for flexibility to incorporate market events, internal strategic imperatives, and other critical business drivers impacting the forward-looking forecast. Responsible for translating results from the model into strategic implications for a wide variety of stakeholders including the Capital, Strategy, & Transactions team, Commercial leadership, Supply Chain, Finance etc. In addition, the individual will assist with reporting of key commercial business performance metrics as well as preparing ad hoc analytics/reporting to support critical strategic projects on an as needed basis. This individual would be expected to assume broader and deeper responsibility within the Business Intelligence and Digital group as tenure progresses.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the key drivers of the business and support development of the forecasting strategy within the Commercial organization.Develop and maintain a demand forecast model for both existing commercial assets and future pipeline assets. Forecasting from both a top-down and a bottom-up approach is critical.Work with appropriate stakeholders to develop key assumptions within the model. Document assumptions and risks within the model in a clear manner for stakeholder awareness and alignment.Serve as primary point of contact to Finance, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders who depend on the demand forecast for downstream implications of the forecast including, but not limited to, performance reporting, sampling, manufacturing, and sales incentive compensation planning.Consistently track and report actual performance vs. forecast with insightful and clear commentary to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.Assist with the reporting of key commercial performance indicators. Aid in the automation of reporting wherever possible to ensure efficiency and consistency in reports.Proactively provide insights gleaned from reports and analyses performed to aid other stakeholders in assessing trends and performance against goals.Prepare ad hoc analyses in support of strategic initiatives, including clear communication of the results to stakeholders.Become a trusted analytical partner to the Commercial organization - and identify areas to strategically enhance the Commercial organization''s analytical toolkits.Collaborate with 3rd party consultants and IT-business partners, as needed, to enhance data reporting. Assist with the development of relevant business rules, in conjunction with 3rd party consultants and/or IT-business partners, to enable accurate measurement and reporting of key metrics.QualificationsBachelor''s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or relevant degree).3-5+ years'' analytical experience. Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience preferred, but not required.Proven ability to build complex models in Excel.Experience with market based as well as prescription/patient based forecast models and operational forecasting design and analysis.Knowledge of claims-level, prescription-level, and other sales data sources.Ability to glean insights from various data sources, and accurately integrate data into forecasting models and performance reporting.Advanced analytics and data visualization skills using Excel for data analytics and modeling.Exhibits a positive attitude and is proactively motivated to drive projects and initiatives forward from fortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.Strong informal and formal communication skills - excellent presentation skills; comfortable presenting to senior management.Strong people skills and a solid team player.Work Environment The work is performed primarily in a remote office environment with occasional required in person office work, meetings, and/or travel.
