Abbott Commercial Delivery Solutions is recruiting an IT Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of for the planning, execution, implementation, and overall delivery of key Commercial initiatives for Abbott''s Medical Device business.WHAT YOU''LL DOThe IT Sr Project Manager position leads project planning and execution teams, using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, to deliver complex cloud-based solutions using and related technologies. These projects are focused on, but not limited to, implementation and enhancement of , including key feature areas enabling Opportunity and Lead Management, Sales Order, Service Management, and Field Inventory Management. These solutions enable the Commercial operation and performance of the Medical Device business and are critical to the long-term growth objectives of the company.Core Job Responsibilities:Plan, execute and manage all aspects of project management at the department or division level, including initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure.Works with business and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables.Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.Create and manage project scope, budget, resource planning, and management reporting & metricsExpedite, manage and coordinated a multitude of interrelated IT project activities within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of projects.Able to build strong cross-functional partnerships with Commercial business stakeholders, IT Business Relationship Managers, Internal IT resources, and External integration partners and contractors.Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with department, divisional management, and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budgetCommunicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team, Department and Division managementCoordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities.Directly or indirectly supervises and motivates cross-functional project team of business analysts, developers, and validation analysts, including internal and third-party resources.Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and proceduresMakes decisions that impact projects or Departments. Influences or has final decision authority for project level, budget and activitiesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU''LL BRINGRequiredBachelors degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline7-10 years IT experience working within a large/complex IT organization, including project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment5+ yrs. experience leading/managing projects in a complex, matrixed organizationMastery of all phases of software development life cycle and related methodologiesPreferred: implementation experience a plus, including business requirements definition, user stories, detailed functional and system design, configuration and/or customization involving the following areas: Sales, Service, Marketing, Inventory/Asset Management, on the platformPMP is a plusExperience with HP Quality Center or other testing toolsProject leadership using Waterfall, SCRUM, and Agile methodologiesExperience in pharmaceutical or medical device industryPrior experience working with validated software or CFR Part 11 complianceStrong analytical skills, including demonstrated proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.Ability to multitask in the role with little supervision and many demands from many constituentsWHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
