Main Purpose Our client are looking for a Payroll Manager who will is instrumental in managing and overseeing successful day to day payroll service delivery. This is a high volume payroll environment, servicing between 5-10k staffers in multiple US States on a weekly / bi weekly / monthly basis. Responsibilities & Duties Payroll:Partners with outsourced payroll team, to ensure payroll is executed accurately and timelyVerifies the collection of worker payroll information during the onboarding process, and coordinate with the agency team as neededConfidentially reviews payroll processing by reviewing HR/Payroll information that was entered into the system (garnishments, benefit adjustments, deductions, verifies new-hire information is entered correctly, etc.)Monitors returned ACH deposits, and reissue any returned fundsInvestigates any payroll discrepanciesProcesses any manual or off cycle payments, employee reimbursements, paycard payments, termination pay as neededComplete gross up requestsCollaboration:Assess the ongoing relationship with 3rd party payroll service vendors e.g. OSV. to ensure optimal payroll processesProvides customer service to internal staff teams, payroll vendor, and staff workers.Consult with appropriate party on discrepancies, problems, and issues involved in the payroll processForecasts payroll payments to Treasury, and liaise with the Accounting team on all payroll related reconciliations.Partner with HR & Benefits to align benefits & time off enhancements, ensuring accurate consideration as and when necessaryTime and Attendance:Verify all timesheets are approved by worker and clientSubject Matter Expertise and Compliance:Keep up to date with state agencies for new prevailing wage regulationsGenerate and publish specific departmental metrics and scorecards. Prepare standardised and ad hoc payroll related reports and analysis as required for senior management.Responsible for internal and external audit queriesPeople Management:Manage and develop an expanding payroll team and ensure that the team is up to date on latest developments in the payroll sector for US.Qualifications and SkillsDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of the payroll function, including all applicable federal, state and local regulations.Experience working with high volume staffing workforce, in multiple US States, in a high speed environmentCompetent in all Google Suite and Microsoft Office products; intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.Experience in Paycom, or relevant payroll software, highly preferredPersonally exhibits a strong commitment to dependability and reliability; ability to gain the confidence and respect of the customer base and holds a high degree of integrity, understanding the importance of sensitive and/or confidential information.Demonstrates aptitude to work independently using analytical thinking; possesses a strong understanding of business processes to deliver requested output timely and accurately.Manages multiple assignments simultaneously; remains organized, detail oriented and flexible in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.One final thing Our client loves diversity and welcome all people from diverse backgrounds with open arms, no matter your race, age, sexual orientation, disability, gender, religion... you get the picture.
