Performs pre- and post-check inspections on tractors driven and trailers hauled. Reports any malfunction to supervisor. Opens trailer, inspects that shore bar and strap are properly installed according to established procedures, corrects if needed. Reports any accident, no matter how small, as soon as it happens Loads and unloads trailer/truck when required, ensuring that all supplies are delivered. Loads and unloads merchandise at each location. Reports any discrepancies to supervisor. QualificationsWhat You Will Need: Required: 1-year experience driving a semi-tractor trailerValid Florida Commercial Driver''s License (CDL) - Class "A" and driving record in accordance with AdventHealth policy.Valid Medical Examiner''s CertificateAbility to communicate effectively and the ability to work with people of various backgrounds. Self-starter that can budget his/her time and activities as needed to accomplish the task at hand. Preferred: High school graduate or equivalent Job Summary: Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Under general supervision, the Semi Truck Driver is responsible for the transport of materials and/or supplies between the Apopka Warehouse and hospitals, etc. Performs routine duties of a delivery driver, rotating through schedules, driving specified routes, and completing timely pickups and delivery of various items.
