Some of our other benefits include: 15 agency holidays and 15 sick days in addition to generous vacation days Health/dental/vision plans that are subsidized up to 80% Tuition assistance and educational loan forgiveness Access to 403(b) retirement benefits and a pension ABOUT THE JOB The School Based Mental Health Prevention and Intervention program is a new program in "high-needs" middle and high schools which provides counseling, professional development, classroom observations, group therapy for at-risk groups, case management and community linkages/referrals, etc. The project offers both prevention work for the entire school population, screening and brief intervention for vulnerable populations (LBGTQ, new immigrants, etc.) and provides individual, family, group and collateral sessions for students and families with a behavioral health issues. This program aims to provide teachers with more options, increase student access to mental health services, and include greater family engagement through community referrals, family therapy, parent workshops, and trainings. The goal is to increase opportunities for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties and their families to receive high-quality mental health services in the school setting. The Jewish Board will work with schools in Staten Island, Queens and Brooklyn. QUALIFICATIONS The Jewish Board is currently looking for a talented Social Workers of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications: LMHC, LCAT, LMSW, or LCSW Direct practice experience with children and youth. A minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience with similar population/setting strongly preferred. Fluency in Spanish preferred.
