Pharmacist

Requirements Include: Pharmacy degree and current state-specific pharmacy license. CPR/first aid certification. 6-months Pharmacy customer service experience Minimum 21 years of age (travels for business purposes). Valid drivers license. Additional Information: • Review prescriptions issued by healthcare providers to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed. • Compound medications, using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients. • Verify new medication against existing medication and patient profile to ensure that there are no drug-drug or drug-disease interactions prior to filling prescription. • Verify the work of the Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants, including accuracy of all prescriptions filled. • Provide information to pharmacy customers regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals. • Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. • Maintain pharmacy files, charge system and inventory/order medications. • Administer immunizations as allowed by the state boards of pharmacy. • Advise and counsel customers about their medicines, provides knowledge of medication uses and side effects, evaluates all prescriptions as to appropriateness. • Interact with physicians regarding patient concerns on behalf of patients. • Protect customer information in accordance with state and federal Pharmacy laws including HIPAA law and corporate standards. • Provide outstanding customer service Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records
