Process Engineer

Process Engineer / West Columbia, SC, USA Responsibilities • Accountable for shop performance and daily operation processes. Recommend and implement corrective actions on the deviations. • Report shop performance against specified key performance indicators. • Examine and recommend process, procedure, training or equipment aiming at improved performance • Focus on personnel and process execution and work with shop department managers and shift managers for consistent and continuous process improvements. • Work with Training and Quality Assurance Department to develop, monitor and teach product quality • Assist new hire in production environment • Initiate communication with external resources for stabilization and improvement initiatives Qualifications BS in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical engineering 5 years of experience as metallurgist working with melt shop or metal shop process engineer EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) experience is non-negotiable Experience in LMF and continuous casting required Willingness and ability to work hands on in the shop with operators on flexible schedules Melt Shop experience min 2-3 years U.S Residence
