Reporting to the Senior Principal Development Scientist, you, the Senior Food Scientist will leads the development of new, improved, and cost-reduced meat snacks products from concept through successful commercialization. Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and review of integrated recipes for all items including: specifications, materials, formulas, equipment, quality and process information for R&D, plant, co-packers and suppliers. You will conduct research to establish specifications and process requirements for meat snack items using knowledge of the properties of both meat products and finished consumer products.You Will:Develop new Meat Snack products beginning at the concept phase through successful commercialization working within and outside of Conagra plantsDesign and conduct pilot plant trials, plant trials and new product start-upsPlan, prioritize, and complete tasks while maintaining accurate and complete recordsCreate product development timelines that are required to meet project timelinesDevelop finished product and manufacturing process specifications using online specification systemAccomplish experiments, gather data and prepare results for reviewUnderstand consumer demand spaces, develop new Meat Snack products to appeal to customersEffectively communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiencesWork with cross functional partners including processing, marketing, finance, packaging and brand design, procurement, and manufacturingYou Have:Bachelors in Food Science or related field, meat science or animal scienceMinimum 3 years of relevant work experience, preference towards experience in meat product developmentExperience in product development or related field at a food companyKnowledge in food product design, formulation, ingredient functionality, process design, product scale-up, plant testing and commercializationExhibit leadership attitudes in approaching technical solutions to business and market issuesGood understanding of food industry standards of quality and foods safety, and regulatory requirements for foodConagra''s culture of collaboration enhances our ability to meet critical business goals, deliver value to customers and consumers and provide you with the flexibility you need to achieve a better work-life balance.
