2096 CRISIS-CNA 1845-0715 36 hours per week BLS REQUIRED Provides personal nursing care to the patient under the direction of a licensed registered nurse (RN). Performs tasks associated with activities of daily living including self-care needs. Performs routine assigned tasks and reports patients status and concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN). Function: Nursing Family: Nursing Support Level: Assistant (e.g. PCT LVN MA) FLSA: Non-Exempt JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent: Preferred Required Licenses Other Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Required Basic Life Support (BLS) MED/SURG experience. Health Care Provider certification: Required Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred in California and Hawaii Refer to the Required Licenses and Certifications list for additional job and/or unit specific requirements. Required Skills Audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: Preferred Refer to Job Analysis 01A for details regarding additional ability requirements. ORGANIZATIONAL EXPECTATIONS Adheres to the Adventist Health Mission Vision and Values statements. Complies with behavioral standards policies procedures and handbooks established by the organization and their respective ministries. Abides by the guiding principles of the Code of Conduct. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs tasks associated with activities of daily living including assisting with nutrition and hydration elimination personal care positioning devices restraints and restorative care. Takes vital signs including pulse and blood pressure. Helps patients with their basic needs i.e. bathing dressing and feeding. Performs a variety clerical duties which include but are not limited to routing patient reports as appropriate. Uses organizational skills to keep unit running smoothly and uses prioritization skills to meet deadlines as indicated. Provides assessment data. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. This unit provides care for post-critical (step-down) medical or surgical patients who require observation and care at a level less than intensive care patients but more comprehensive than that required by general acute patients. This unit represents a mix of medical and surgical patients including monitored or ventilator-dependent patients.
