Operating Room Registered Nurse

2114 RN - OR 0630-1500 40 hours guaranteed a week. Must be trained in cardio vascular. While this is showing as an OR nurse we need someone with about 6 months of cardiovascular experience (recent). Candidate needs to have circulated in cardiac and vascular cases. The volume is low so this RN will also take other case work in this department - Surgical Services. They will be on call 10-15 days a month. 40 hours a week guaranteed. This is an urgent need. Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Minimum Education Bachelor''s Degree (BSN): Preferred Minimum Work Experience Acute care facility experience: Preferred Required Licenses Registered Nurses Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required Other Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required Refer to the Required Licenses and Certifications list for additional job and/or unit specific requirements. Required Skills Refer to Job Analysis 01A for details regarding additional ability requirements. This department includes all functions related to operating room services including intraoperative patient care. It also may include perfusion services inpatient and/or outpatient services and other operating room support functions. It does not include PACU anesthesia functions pre op holding and/or central sterile functions.
