We are seeking an Industrial Engineer that will be responsible for finding ways to eliminate wastefulness in production processes. The industrial engineer will program lasers, press brakes, CNC machining to improve efficiencies and costing. Devise efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to make a product or provide a service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information. Nest common materials for optimum density and efficiency in laser departments Program press brakes with off-line software to maximize equipment uptime and reduce bottlenecks Program CNC machining and turning centers off-line to streamline production changeovers. Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste. Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades. Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues. Developing design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel. Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs. Design lean product flow cells Training staff for new processes and providing Visual work instructions and manuals. Managing process documentation and preparing production reports. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience Required 3 to 5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment. Advanced knowledge of production equipment lasers, Press Brakes, Welding MiG and Tig Proficient in 3D modeling software, ex: Solidworks, Creo, etc.... Proficient in CNC programming software Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills. Troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. Documentation and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft office and Cad programs Six Sigma training - Black belt or Green belt preferred Preferred Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field Project Management Bilingual (Spanish) a plus About Us Ludlow Manufacturing Inc. was formed to service OEM manufacturers with their metal fabrication needs.
