Quality Assurance Technician

Job Summary: This position is responsible for task related to quality assurance; ensuring raw materials, in-process goods, finished products and operational processes are meeting quality specifications and food safety standards.shift starts at 5:30 and will be Tues - Sat.Essential Job Functions:● Performs daily finished product evaluation, analytical tests, data gathering - temperature, and weights, and organoleptic.● Maintains and organize filing system for QA evaluation data. Perform pre-operation checks with the line lead.● Complete QC and production documentation. Collect samples, monitor and dump product that is out of specification.● Random checks on finish products weight, temperature, and packaging date codes during production at make-up lines and packing.● Inspects metal detector rejected products for foreign objects, and record findings.● Monitors and audits HACCP CCP documentation, such as reviewing production, and performs random verification on metal detectors during production.● Audits employee compliance, to GMP''s, SOP''s, and SSOP.● Inspects incoming perishable ingredients. Interacts with production to trouble-shoot quality issues.● Conducts investigations into non-conforming materials and products. Performs other duties as required or directed by QA Manager. ● One-month OJT training will be provided by QA Supervisor or Manager.We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
