Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:Position Summary:Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a Clinical Thyroid Specialist (CTS) to develop and grow the territory for Sonic''s thyroid cancer testing menu. This salaried position includes developing and executing a regional business plan as well as the specific sales strategy within a defined geographic region. The CTS will be responsible for managing business results, sales activities and cross-functional initiatives with sister labs in their respective territory. The CTS will be responsible for making day-to-day decisions required to manage a productive territory, retain existing customer base of business while growing sales through new account acquisition, both on an individual basis as well as through the relationship of representatives at sister labs. Securing and analyzing relevant information, knowledge of territory, market intelligence and political landscape, to identify key issues and committing to action after developing alternative solutions that take into consideration strategic objectives, resource constraints and organizational values. The CTS will be responsible for the company''s profitability by fostering relationships with potential customers and key decision-makers in the thyroid cancer market.Job Responsibilities:Achieve the territory sales objectives.Identify market opportunities and trends by researching industry and related events and publications.Develop and execute business plan that aligns with regional and national strategy.Identify ways to penetrate existing market and attract new customers.Work hand-in-hand with sister laboratories to maximize sales pull-through opportunities that are aligned with Sonic''s managed care strategy to achieve or exceed revenue targets.Explore and develop potential opportunities with customers, professional organizations, advocacy groups and related foundations.Work with marketing and sales management to develop a situation analysis of the company including its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to assist in the development of a strategic plan for the future of the business.Responsible for maintaining existing KOL relationships and developing new KOLs. Responsible for driving awareness of Sonic''s thyroid test with KOLs involved in the treatment and management of patients with thyroid cancer. (Endocrinologists, Surgeons, Pathologists, Radiologists, Cytologists.).Assist corporate leadership on projects that will help drive test acceptance, development and utilization.Full compliance with the Sonic Healthcare CRM solution for the defined geographic region.Assist Training and Development with resources for Sales Representative development.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Job Qualifications:4 years of sales experience in a relevant industry/commercial environment (diagnostics, molecular testing)Bachelor''s degree requiredDeep domain knowledge of the Diagnostic Services industry. Molecular Diagnostic experience strongly preferred.Experience selling endocrinology based tests and services into hospitals and clinicians.Experience within complex selling environments required.Ability to travel requiredFocuses on outcomes with clear measures and terpersonal flexibility to interact with sister labs.Ability to leverage cross-functional relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals and objectives.Advanced presentation skills and business acumen a necessity.Problem solving, decision-making and technical learning.Advanced written and oral communication skills.Strong administrative skills. Sophistication to manage business in complex environments.Demonstrates Sonic''s Values by acting with integrity, respect and prehensive understanding and experience with various industry trends and market segments and industry trends. History of success maintaining key relationships, demonstrated ability to drive strategic sales/marketing solutions, demonstrated ability to execute sales strategy focusing on net sales growth while leveraging existing customer relationships into increasing market share and developing and executing plans to deliver new channels of distribution.Building and Managing Relationships - The successful candidate will have comfort and experience interacting with key strategic accounts, thought leaders and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) instrumental and other influential healthcare executives in the endocrinology and research/development continuum that defines the operating complexity of the biotechnology / Personalized Medicine / MDx industry.Reporting Lines:The CTS reports to the Vice President, Business Development, but will also collaborate with SHUSA operational management.Skills:Organization, long range planning, implementation and leadership ability Act as a role model to promote relationships and create a supportive business climateEffective communication with SHUSA leadershipEffective communication with subordinate team membersEnsure staff adherence to all established policies and proceduresPerform duties in a timely and accurate mannerMaintain confidentiality of informationPossess effective written, verbal and electronic communication skills Ability to work under deadlinesSonic Healthcare USA is an Equal Opportunity employer.
