Notes to Applicants OVERVIEW OF THIS POSITIONThis position is responsible for ensuring various components of compliance with 49 CFR 1542.209, in regards to airport access media - to include data entry, taking and submitting fingerprints, filing, training, and all other required aspects. This position also issues, audits, and maintains key systems. Additionally, this position conducts security audits of sterile area concessionaire lease areas; and fulfills all aspects of the airport''s lost & found program. All activities are conducted in a highly public setting, requiring excellent attention to detail and customer service.ASSESSMENT A skills assessment will be required for this position. DRIVER''S REQUIREMENTThis position must travel between various locations as part of the regular job duties and the individual will be required to drive a City vehicle. Position will also be required to drive on the AOA. This position requires a Valid Texas Class C Driver''s License or the ability to acquire one by your hire date. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin''s Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) requisite. To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months. High volume data entry experience Duties, Functions and Responsibilities Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Review a variety of Access Control applications for completeness; determines applicants'' identity in accordance with Federal regulations; ensures appropriate authorization signatures are valid and present prior to processing applications; and ensures a variety of security access media are issued and maintained in accordance with Federal regulations and City of Austin, Aviation Department policies and procedures Ensure accuracy of data entered into the automated access control system and other access control databases Ensure the daily and monthly uploads of biographical and sensitive security information is accurate and are completed in accordance with Federal regulations Ensure a current Security Threat Assessment approval is received from the Transportation Security Administration prior to issuing security access media and notify tenants and other employers that applicants are approved for badge issuance Oversee security training and maintain security training records Instruct applicants in the proper use/application of various security access media Review, maintain, store and protect access control records in accordance with Federal regulations, City of Austin Aviation Department policies and procedures and Texas retention laws Collect fees and reconcile and report Austin Bergstrom International Airport revenue collected Log, track, store, audit, and reconcile lost and found items Maintain the security and confidentiality of the sensitive security information and data contained in the access control office Create, issue, activate, and deactivate lock and key access for various areas of the airport; maintain key control databases May perform additional security duties and responsibilities as necessary Responsibilities- Supervision and/or Leadership Exercised:None.
