POSITION SUMMARY: Class A Welder - 1st Shift - Fulltime Rotex is looking for a Class A Welder to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a first shift position, with a standard 5 day, 8-hour workday schedule. First shift work schedules are Monday-Friday, from 6:00AM-2:30PM. This position pays a competitive rate per hour, with guaranteed annual increases, plus a 10% shift differential, and opportunities for overtime. Opportunities for development and advancement RESPONSIBILITY: Perform welding of ferrous and non-ferrous (aluminum, etc.) metal parts including setup, fit-up, tack welding, gas burning and cutting, finish welding, straightening, checking, brazing and solder wiping. Fabricate sub-assemblies and assemblies such as: Box Frames, Bottom Pans, Screen Box Liners, Screen Frames, Cooler Decks, Top Covers, and items of 18 gage and lighter, etc., in accordance with the drawings and other specifications using necessary equipment, tools, jogs and fixtures. The required welding processes are: SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding). Where required, welds to be of quality suitable for special finishing (Sanitary finish, etc.). Perform daily and weekly routine duties associated with proper maintenance and operation of the equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: With technical drawings or plans as a guide use applicable tools to create a joint or intersection of two metal pieces. Examine work to ensure the joint is strong before moving on to the next component in the plan. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Examine work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience Welding Certification from an accredited institution. 5+ years of relevant experience in welding and fabrication. Ability to read and interpret Blueprints for weld fabrication. Ability to successfully complete pre-hire weld tests.
