Candidates need to be proficient in understanding blueprints, specifications, and the required tools and materials to complete a project. A minimum of five (5) years of industry related work required to be considered, or a graduate of a recognized sheet metal apprenticeship program.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: As a sheet metal foreman, your responsibilities include supervising installers, journeymen, and any apprentice you take on during the day-to-day field operations. You manage a crew, assign tasks to each employee, communicate all safety issues, and provide Proper Protective Equipment (PPE).Qualifications: Member of Sheet Metal Local 4Commercial sheet metal duct installing: 5 yearsHas dependable transportationHigh School Diploma (preferred) or GED, and vocational training consideredValid Drivers LicensePass a drug test & background screensWork well with othersWork in extreme weather conditionsOSHA 10 or 30 a plusVerified HVAC sheet metal trade experienceBlue print reading and understanding of sheet metal shop drawingsFamiliar with commercial and industrial HVAC systemsMust have own sheet metal hand tools (not power tools)Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
