The firm manages funds in the lower-middle, upper-middle and larger market funds. It is expected that a successful candidate will be able to expand his/her responsibilities overtime. Overview of the Fund Accounting Associate role: Interpret fund agreements to determine impact on financial reporting Prepare all cash related journal entries Prepare fund level financial statements: balance sheets, schedule of investments, income statement, statement of changes in partners'' capital and cash flows Prepare investor-level capital account statements Prepare management fee computations Preparation of capital calls and distributions, including fund waterfall calculation Prepare required deliverables for year-end financial statement audits Ad hoc reporting and analysis Preferred Qualifications for the Fund Accounting Associate: Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting 3-4 years'' experience Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) Must be detail-oriented and independent
