HYG is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence on the organization and the Powertrain Test Operations team. This position plays an important role in the validation of all new products. This individual interacts with all aspects of the organization, including design, test, marketing, manufacturing, and procurement, to ensure we deliver quality lift trucks that meet customer requirements and acceptance. Join our team as we take forklift research, development, and testing to the next level. Responsibilities: Support of the verification, validation, and test planning of new product development. Support development and manage test plans (DVP&R, cycle tests, durability tests) for functional systems focused on axle, transmission and brake development. Create schedules aligning with project milestones and deliver on-time testing. Collaborate and provide support to the Manufacturing, Procurement, Marketing, and Aftermarket groups. Develop creative methods to instrument components, record sensor data while operating trucks or component test stands, and analyze data for product development and validation studies. Communication of test results through both verbal and written reports including presenting to Engineer staff. Provide input to identifying and implementing processes that improve development efficiency and overall quality of validation testing. Supervision of test technicians. Identify and resolve development issues working closely with Design groups and suppliers. The Successful Engineer Will Meet the Following Minimum Qualifications: BS/MS in Engineering with 1-7 year''s work experience in the test engineering field. Knowledge/skill in vehicle, automotive, industrial equipment, materials handling, agricultural or similar technologies with emphasis on powertrain systems. Knowledge/skill in drafting practices, CAD, engineering analysis, design layouts. Highly motivated with leadership skills and ability to work with team environment. Desire for ''hands on'' work in a shop environment a must and ability to operate lift trucks. Excels in innovative thinking, troubleshooting, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Data acquisition systems such as SOMAT EDAQ and/or Vector CANalyzer including knowledge of Automotive type CANbus communication. Practical understanding of machining practices, manufacturing methods and tolerances.
