This includes the generation of calculations and design drawings as well as field work. Prepare engineering studies and schematic design for steel structures and concrete foundations. Responsible for drafting as needed and review of construction drawings. Communicate with Lead Engineers and Designers to assure schedule and budget accuracy. Ability to react promptly and efficiently to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Provide consultation and expert advice to clients, team members and management. Attend and/or conduct project meetings with both clients and team members. Communicates with team members, project managers, other disciplines, and outside vendors to obtain necessary information. Assists in data collection and/or field verification. Qualifications:A successful candidate will have the knowledge and ability to manage and complete complex engineering problems with minimal direction. Minimum of 5 years experience in the Industrial design or the equivalent. Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license. Willingness to pursue licensure in other states is also required. Active Structural Engineer (SE) license is a plus. Knowledge of engineering practices, design details, codes and standards, procedures, and specifications including AISC, ACI, IBC, ASCE 7, and others.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and manage several abstract and concrete variables. Proficient with AutoCAD 2-D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.), Microsoft Project, RISA 3-D (or equivalent), and MathCAD. Ability to travel to job sites.
