In this role, you will be responsible for creating and leading the short and long-term strategy and execution of new residential and industrial development projects in Dallas. The Development Manager will play a large role in creating the initiatives to successfully start, grow, and maintain our development presence in Dallas.As Manager, you will work alongside the senior management team and be involved in all aspects of the development process including land acquisitions, development, construction, and asset management of our communities. The Development Manager will also be responsible for the future growth of development team members.Job DetailsResponsibilitiesLocate and contract new land opportunities suitable for acquisition and developmentSupport tasks related to land acquisition including contract negotiation and closing documents for multi-million dollar land purchases, as well as any other contract requirements.Manage and evaluate all due diligence responsibilities of new development opportunities, including site planning, entitlements, environmental, title, and any other necessary tasks.Create and maintain financial models, including proformas, to evaluate and underwrite new project opportunities and guide decisions on existing communities.Obtain all necessary entitlements and approvals for developments as well as create and maintain effective and key relationships with local and state jurisdictions and municipalities.Manage and collaborate with the consultants throughout the design process from start to finish, while also collaborating with our internal team.Create and execute project development schedules to ensure deadlines are met and consultants are staying on schedule.Manage and establish reports to monitor costs and update the team throughout the entire development process.Develop internal and external presentations for new development opportunities and quarterly reports.Ensure all development projects are well coordinated and executed to company standards.Research and stay up to date on the market and submarket trends.QualificationsA Bachelor''s degree in Real Estate, Business, Financing, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.Master''s degree in business-related field is preferred.Ground up Residential (Single Family / Multi-Family) and Industrial (Warehouse / Office) development experience preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel financial modeling skills.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and summarize effectively.Highly organized and detail-oriented.Strong time-management and project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.Ability to critically think and problem solve.Aptitude for learning and challenging work.Proactive with the desire to continually improve and add value.Professional, dependable, and a desire to uphold a high standard of terested in hearing more?
