NPD (New Product Development) Buyer

Job InformationRepresent the Procurement organization on all projects. Manage and support the procurement of materials during the product development phase. Support all supplier and costing quoting processes in support of Strategic Procurement.Location: Bismarck ND or West Fargo NDRole & ResponsibilityCoordinate and implement supply strategies to achieve ongoing cost, quality, and delivery improvements for NPD projectsProcess and update cost estimates and quotesAssist accounting with project cost roll-ups and all cost typesManage requests for quotes (RFQ) to support stakeholders and NPD programsEnsure early and ongoing supplier and procurement involvement in the NPD processBuild strong value-adding relationships with suppliers, internal customers, and cross-functional departmentsSupply forecasts and schedules as requiredAssist planning in minimizing inventory and obsolescenceUnderstand and communicate nondisclosure agreement supply and warranty agreements, including terms and conditionsCollaborate with sourcing, planning, and additional stakeholders on solving problemsSupport projects as sourcing lead when requiredAdvise sourcing management of any potential major supplier problems and risks that could adversely affect the supply of componentsAssist in maintaining data integrity in all related systemsSupport other duties as assignedJob RequirementBachelors degree in related field preferred.
