DescriptionPURPOSE OF POSITION: To politely greet guests upon entering the Day Restaurants. Hosts are responsible for using the reservation programs; assigning reservations to tables in the Day Restaurant. At all times, hosts are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and make them feel welcome and comfortable.JOB QUALIFICATIONDemonstrate a skill set relating to the functions of a full-service restaurantDemonstrate excellent communication and positive interpersonal skillsUtah Food Handlers certificationMust be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.Frequent walking and/or standing for long periods of timeJOB DUTIESWarmly and graciously greets all guests upon arrival to the restaurantEnsure that all guest information is logged in the reservation systemMaintain a professional, courteous attitude when confronted with impatient guestsExplain restaurant concepts to guestsAccommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possibleSeat guests based on balancing of customer flow and sequence of serviceRelay messages to servers and bussers as neededUnderstanding of current menu items, specialties and menu deviationsPerforming basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by MODAssisting with special events as neededUnderstands and can communicate products and services available at the resortOther duties as assigned WORKING CONDITIONSMay be required to work outdoors as business demand dictatesWill work near moving or mechanical partsMay work near toxic/caustic chemicals and with fumes or airborne particlesVarying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business demand dictatesRequirements
