We treat you like you are part of the family.Job Title: Sr. Right Angle DeveloperWork Location: Sugar Land, TX - Hybrid (40% Remote)Duration: Direct HireEducation/Experience Required: 10+ years of Application Development, with 5+ years in RightAngle development (experience with version R20 strongly preferred)The Senior Developer with is a key member of the Commercial Applications Development Team. The Developer will help to drive the creation and adoption of RightAngle configuration, architecture processes and standards. In addition, he/she will be responsible for building a long-term vision of the commercial architecture that will enable a simpler, more secure, and more efficient future-state. Paramount to the success of this role is the Developer''s ability to collaborate with and influence IT peers in Development, Reporting, and Business Applications. Working with key Vendors and other Application consultants with the common goal of creating and simplifying systems, functions, and processes will be an important attribute.Experience Requirements : 10+ years of experience in application development, integration, and support. Extensive experience in developing solutions with develop tools in .NET, Java, PL SQL is a must. 5+ years of experience developing in RightAngle. Experience with Right Angle R20 or later is preferred. Practical experiences to advanced database skills using SQL Server (includes design and scripting of tables, stored procedures, etc. using Visual Studio and SSMS). Experience creating process flows with Visio and writing technical documentation. Experience in writing technical specifications and ability to effectively communicate complex concepts. Passion to explore new development tools, frameworks, utilities. Ability to take ownership on a project and lead teams technically towards deliverables. Experience of mentoring junior level developers is a plus. Experience with version tracking systems such as TFS. Ability to establish performance levels to achieve individual and group goals; trains in necessary skills needed to succeed and advance. Oil and Gas experience considered a plus. Technical Skills : Strong background with Right Angle or other ETRM system. Expert knowledge and experience with application architectures and design patterns. Demonstrated expertise with modern development languages (.Net, Java). Heavy SQL development experience (Oracle, SQL Server). Strong knowledge in window-based applications by utilizing C .NET, WinForms. Strong knowledge in multi-tiered web-based applications by utilizing ASP.NET, ADO.NET, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, HTML, XML, CSS, Web Services (ASMX and WCF). Demonstrated experience with RPC request/response, asynchronous communication, and message based communication (TIBCO,WebSphereMQ, MSMQ, Broker/Bus). Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks and processes. Demonstrated knowledge of IT Security best practices and integration with application authorization and access. Thorough understanding of enterprise system design challenges. Ability to resolve increasingly complex problems. Ability to adjust work schedule to accommodate unexpected changes. Fluent in English, both oral and written required Duties & Description: Translate software requirements into workable programming code and maintain and develop programs for use in business. Breaking down program specification into its simplest elements and translating this logic into a programming language. Working as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project, to write a specific section of the program. Create testing sample datasets to check that output from the program works as intended. Conducting testing and installing the program in Dev and Test. Writing instruction on how to install the program into Production. Assisting with User acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly, and accurately. Writing detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users and computer operators. Creating consulting manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn new ways to develop programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge. Updating, repairing, modifying, and developing existing software and generic applications. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as creativity and the ability to work with abstract concepts. Interpersonal skills to support interaction and collaboration across the enterprise. Convey complex ideas and concepts to all levels. Ability to coach/mentor development teams. Pursues self-development and learning of emerging technologies and best practices. Self-managed able to identify and fill in missing business requirements on behalf of users. Proactive and motivated to improve business operations by looking for patterns of recurring problems that should be addressed and looking out for future problems that may impact the business. Able to excel in supervisory responsibilities. Critical and analytical think that is not shy in advocating their ideas. Regularly communicate and collaborate with Supervisor progress statuses, concerns, and questions. Expected Results: Manage the complex technical delivery of projects from development of partnerships to on-time and budget ROI meeting desired business outcomes and acting with a sense of urgency. Ensure consistently accurate technical designs and levels-of-effort in a complex, changing environment. Keep current with new and emerging technology related to area of responsibility; participates in continuing education related to the position.
