Avomeen, proud to be part of Element, is seeking a Analytical Chemist III to join their growing team and support our Life Sciences group. The Analytical Chemist III executes moderately complex projects in support of client needs, utilizing established methods and procedures and laboratory equipment. Element''s Life Sciences group supports developers and manufacturers in the antimicrobial, food and nutraceutical, medical device, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. We provide personalized testing solutions and regulatory consulting support to validate the safety and efficacy of our clients'' products at every stage of development, production and market release. Responsibilities Performs techniques spanning across the entire spectrum of analytical chemistry from wet chemistry to HPLC, NMR, Mass Spectrometry, FTIR, GC and GC-MSPerform testing using a variety of technologies including HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC/MS, Microscopy, FTIR and UVExecute projects in support of client needs including product deformulation and product development, failure analysis and problem solving, impurity identification, extractable and leachable studies, and structural characterizationEnsure compliance with government rules and regulations (FDA, cGMP, DEA, ICH, OSHA, etc.)Implement new equipment and processes independently, capable of conducting appropriate qualification and validation activities Skills / Qualifications BS or Ph.D. education, with focus on cell biologyExperience with cellular potency methodologies including cellular uptake assays along with hands-on experience with AAV or lentivirusExperience with mammalian cell culture, cell differentiation and tissue culture, including biopsy tissue handling and extractionExperience with biological fluids sample handling and extractionExperience with fluorescence microscopy as well as expeirence working withproteins and nucleic acidsLI-GC1 Diversity Statement At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
