Facilities Maintenance Technician

Element has an opportunity for a Facilities Engineer to perform a wide variety of general building and equipment maintenance, repairs, and services. Responsibilities Develop, schedule, and complete items included in the "Preventative Maintenance Program"Coordinates and executes special projects as directed by the Facilities/Operations ManagerCompletes maintenance projects during off shifts or shutdown periods when neededResponsible for supporting facility status/inspections and alerting Leadership of unusual occurrences and/or damages that have taken place or that have the potential to occur (e.g. HVAC, chilled water, propane, and other building support infrastructureTroubleshooting to include electrical, structural, plumbing and HVAC issues Skills / Qualifications Extensive mechanical, plumbing, and electrical maintenance experienceWell-developed verbal and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs. Strong and effective interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual respectAbility to interface with clients to determine their needs and provide a satisfactory outcomeAbility to interpret and adhere to the requirements of customer specificationsIndependent thought and problem solving abilities including mechanical creativity and resourcefulnessNOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
