Test Technician

Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to prepare and conduct tests, collect and analyze test results, and prepare test reports for assigned test programs. Many of the components under test are operating during testing (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic) and the Technician will assist with setup and data acquisition. Responsibilities Sets up and performs tests ranging from temperature extremes to hurricane wind and rainCollects data manually and through use of data acquisition systemReports results using Microsoft Excel and WordMaintains in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentationAccurately observes and records test progression and results. Organizes and documents data for each assigned project Skills / Qualifications Associate''s degree (A.A.) or equivalent in electronics, automation, process controls, or robotics from two year college or technical school plus one (1) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceHydraulics / pneumatics experience a plus and strong mechanical / electrical aptitudeKnowledge of test standards RTCA/DO-160 and MIL-STD-810, ASTM a plusKnowledge of vibration testing and test software a plus (accelerometers, data acquisition, VR software)NOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
