SUMMARY The Critical Care Transport Program Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the CCMC Critical Care Transport Program under the direction of the Director of Nursing for Transport and in collaboration with the Medical Director of Critical Care Transport. The role and responsibilities of the transport manager includes operational management for clinical standards, education, quality and community responsibilities. The Critical Care Transport Program Manager possesses knowledge for critical care transport, strong leadership and interpersonal skills ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Management for the team from interviewing, through hiring and onboarding. * Responsibility for maintaining competency and yearly validations. * Responsibility for maintaining team standards per regulatory requirements and Connecticut Children''s Medical Center standards/requirements. * Facilitating transports and assisting in providing coverage when staffing is inadequate.* Facilitating transport leadership and general staff meetings.* Capacity to function as a team member, or if appropriate, team leader for transports.* Mentoring, coaching team members for ongoing development.* Completion of yearly performance requirement and evaluations.Operations:* Assessing and conducting outreach needs, including education or debriefings.* Assessing patient, family and team needs for process improvements. * Provide leadership for all programmatic operations Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Management for the team from interviewing, through hiring and onboarding. * Responsibility for maintaining competency and yearly validations. * Responsibility for maintaining team standards per regulatory requirements and Connecticut Children''s Medical Center standards/requirements. * Facilitating transports and assisting in providing coverage when staffing is inadequate.* Facilitating transport leadership and general staff meetings.* Capacity to function as a team member, or if appropriate, team leader for transports.* Mentoring, coaching team members for ongoing development.* Completion of yearly performance requirement and evaluations.Operations:* Assessing and conducting outreach needs, including education or debriefings.* Assessing patient, family and team needs for process improvements. * Provide leadership for all programmatic operations * Physician Assistant, Advance Practice Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Respiratory Therapist with a minimum two years of related emergency department, critical care, pediatric, and/or neonatal critical care experience. Preferred to have Emergency Medical Services (EMS) experience. * Minimum two years'' experience managing or coordinating critical care transport program; preference will be to candidates with pediatric, neonatal, and/or integrated pediatric-neonatal program experience. * Prior experience in education and/or community outreach programming desired. * Bachelors Degree, or higher is required in specialty clinical area at time of hire.
