As a Senior Engineer you will design and test implantable medical devices to ensure MRI safety. You own specific MRI requirements and test methods. You work with a team to execute multi-year MRI projects. WHAT YOU''LL DODevelop MRI requirementsDesign for MRI safetyDevelop and validated test fixtures and methods for MRI safetyTest for MRI safetyRepresent MRI function on R&D core teamsMentor junior engineersEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU''LL BRINGRequiredBachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering/Physics/related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum of 7 years'' related work experience in product development. Ability to meet deadlinesPreferredWorking knowledge of electromagnetic fields and human body interactionsWorking knowledge of MRI scanner hardware (RF coils, magnet, etc.)Experience in high frequency numerical electromagnetic simulations (HFSS, Sim4Life, etc.)Working knowledge of ISO/TS 10974 and IEC 60601-2-33Class III medical device R&D experienceCross functional team experienceWHAT WE OFFERAt Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
